Below are the basic terms and conditions for any projects created under the Indigo Rain name. Terms will also be stipulated in our agreement. Terms must be agreed to prior to start of project. Updates to this page can be made without notice. Please email any queries about the terms to gina@indigorain.co.za. Indigo Rain is not registered for value added tax (VAT).
General
- Quotes and estimates are free of charge and you are under no obligation, until the quote is accepted by you.
- Quotes are valid for 7 days from the date on the quote, unless stated differently on the quote.
- Prices on estimates are not binding.
- The full amount is required before the start of the project commences. A project will only start after the quote is signed and the payment received.
- The Date of Completion (DoC) of a project is affected by feedback and receiving of content and timelines will be adjusted accordingly.
- We cannot be held responsible for delays outside of our control, e.g. equipment failure, load-shedding, stock delays.
- We have the right to use any designs created by Indigo Rain, in promotional material for Indigo Rain.
- Courier fees will be billed to the client.
- Indigo Rain reserves the right to hold back all additional jobs the client has with Indigo Rainif there are outstanding fees.
- Work in progress will be billed for monthly according to the amount of work that has been completed.
- If project is cancelled at any time, all fees up to that point of work will be calculated and invoiced.
- All work and materials supplied remain the property of Indigo Rain until final payment is received.
Graphic Design
- Images and logos supplied must be of high quality (300dpi).
- Specific required colours must be supplied as Pantone or CMYK values.
- No colours can be guaranteed to be 100% accurate to how it displays on screen. Physical printed proofs can be sent to the customer at additional charges but digital proofs cannot be guaranteed to litho printing.
- A project will only be released once it has been proofed, signed and dated by the client.
- All proofs shall be done electronically, unless otherwise arranged. It shall be the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all details have been verified and are correct as we do not take responsibility for any spelling mistakes and/or omissions after the customer has approved the design.
- Completed artwork will be emailed to you, unless otherwise instructed. Information (word/txt), as well as logos and artwork (or photographs) to be used/adjusted (vector/high quality) must be electronically supplied, unless they are to be created as part of the project.
- Any additional work, author’s corrections or ad hoc changes and updates will be charged at an hourly rate (dependent on task, to be verified at start of task) or will be quoted separately.
- Changes must be requested in writing.
- Please ensure you have the copy right for all material supplied. Under no circumstances will Indigo Rain, our designers or any associates be held responsible for any copyright disputes.
- If it becomes clear that material was provided without the required copy right, changes to a project (to remove illegal content) will be at the client’s cost. Indigo Rain does not take any responsibility for content supplied without proper copy right whatsoever.
- The design time of a project will be billed for even if the client chooses not the print the project.
Digital & Ink Jet Printing
- All artwork supplied for Digital & Ink Jet Printing to be high resolution, at the correct size and print ready, this includes having bleed. If the artwork is incorrect it will be sent back for the original designer to correct or Indigo Rain can correct (if possible) at an additional charge. Indigo Rain cannot be held responsible for any errors that may occur during this process.
- Whilst all effort is made to keep colours as accurate as possible – there are various factors that may cause slight variations in colour – and therefore a 100% colour accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
- For full colour printing jobs, clients must provide images and graphics in CMYK format. We are not responsible for any colour shift that occurs in conversions from RGB or Pantone colours to CMYK colour modes.
Where the customer may have any grievances with regards to any of the products and/or services rendered, such grievances should be communicated to Indigo Rain. If such grievance – whether this be print or design quality, delayed deliveries or any related matter be found reasonable, Indigo Rain shall take any necessary actions to rectify such problems, but this shall not constitute grounds for cancellation of orders or refunds under any circumstances.
